Day 20 - Sydney to Singapore
And then there were two. Patrick and Mark packed up their belongings
(which seemed to weigh much more than when they had arrived), headed to
Sydney airport and soon they were off.
Well,
actually, the last part of that sentence isn't quite right. In fact,
Patrick and Mark spent a very long time at Sydney airport looking on in
dismay as larger and larger numbers of engineers arrived to dismantle and
peer bemusedly at the starboard motor of the plane that they were supposed
to be on. The bottles of mineral water supplied by the company were
scant consolation as time passed.
Well, eventually the plane was pronounced fit to fly, but this delay
severely buggered up the plan of spending the evening in downtown Singapore.
Still, we had a pretty good Chinese meal in Katong before crashing out.
